Weeknotes, Friday 18 October
It’s been an interesting if somewhat frazzling week. Going to see comedian Kiri Pritchard-McLean this evening so looking forward to that. Here’s what’s been top of mind this week:
Disco discombobulation
Working on a discovery that’s off to a confusing start. The subject area is politically sensitive and under a lot of pressure. It felt clear-ish at first what our objectives were, but several spanners have been thrown into the works.
There’s a strong sense that we don’t want to repeat any research that’s already been done, but it’s unclear where things were left and what happened to that research.
Hopefully by the end of next week things will be clearer and we can crack on.
Social care is tough to unpack
Who knew?
Conversations continued this week on what to do in the short and long term when it comes to Adult Social Care content. There are literal years of previous work on this that haven’t been actioned yet for complex reasons.
For now I’m making small changes while bigger decisions are made.
