This week at work was inspiring and interesting, thanks to some workshops organised by colleagues. Also got UK Gov Camp tomorrow so been looking forward to that all week!

Plans for updating adult social care content

Met with Chelsey from adult social care comms, and it was brilliant to be super aligned on what we need to do to get the adult social care content up to date and in better shape. Total agreement on keeping the content simple and clear, and not hiding the phone number. Love it when comms and content align.

Ideas on how to make a sprint inclusive

Met with user researcher Claire and fellow content designer Hannah to talk about the upcoming sprint on PDA (persistent drive for autonomy) and consent. Some interesting chats about how to make the actual sprint itself inclusive and not too demanding, as we have a lot of lived experience of neurodiversity in the room.

Product and content workshop

Catherine, one of our delivery managers led an excellent workshop with us content designers and the product managers to get us all aligned. Really enjoyed it and it felt like everybody in the room had a chance to speak and get involved. Feeling positive about how we can work together to improve things within our LocalGov Drupal websites.

LocalGov Content meetups

Eleanor from Greenwich organises local gov content designer meet ups, and I’ve been involved a bit in the past too. Now we’ve also got Stella from Hackney involved and hopefully others too.

We met and discussed some ideas for future meet ups, and some really exciting ones already seem to be shaping up! Watch this space.

Distractions

Listening

Perverts, Ethel Cain (album)

Heavy Metal, Cameron Winter (album)

Full Moon, Moonchild Sanelly (album)

fabric presents Lauren Garnier: On The Way Home (album)

Debí Tirar Más Fotos, Bad Bunny (album)

Watching

Rivals, the Jilly Cooper one on Disney plus. Saucy!

The Traitors. Enjoying but a few annoying characters mean it’s not as fun as usual.
